Michael Galgano

I was born in the Bronx and moved with my parents, Mike and Marie, and my older sister Joanne, to New City, New York, where I attended Clarkstown schools. I proudly graduated from Clarkstown South High School—Go Vikings! After majoring in marketing and advertising in college, I initially pursued a career in the construction industry. For 16 years, I worked as an Operating Engineer for notable companies like Kiska, HRH, Shavione, Perini, Iron Bridge, Koch, and Herbert & Lehr/McGovern. During that time, I contributed to major projects such as the New York City Water Tunnels, high-rise buildings, and even installed the massive glass panels at the Jacob Javits Center using a 40-ton Grove Crane. After getting married and starting a family with three children, I transitioned back to my marketing roots. I began my real estate career with Weichert Realtors, quickly becoming a top producer at the Nanuet office. This success led to my recruitment by RE/MAX, an opportunity offered to only a select few agents. I thrived at RE/MAX for four years as a top producer. In 1998, I took a significant leap forward by affiliating with the Independent Brokers Network of America (I.B.N.A.), enhancing the services I offer my clients. Over the past 18 years as the Broker/Owner of my own office, I have built a strong network with over 2,000 agents across the country and established a powerful referral network throughout the U.S. My success is due in large part to the incredible team I've built and the growth we’ve achieved together. I’ve been married to my wife Theresa for 37 wonderful years. We met in high school, dated through college, and have built an amazing life together, raising three incredible children. Theresa is not only an amazing mother but also my best friend. Like many couples, we’ve faced our share of challenges, but mutual trust, respect, and a great sense of humor have helped us create a life full of joy. I’m truly lucky to have her by my side. Our eldest, Jacqueline, is an accomplished woman. She’s the proud owner of Studio Jacked Dance Company in Nanuet, Rockland’s premier hip-hop dance company. She’s a hard worker and, along with her husband Dereck, has two beautiful children: Lennox, 8, and Giorgionna, who just turned 1. Michael, or Mikey, is a scenic designer in NYC and owns MRG Studios. Mikey and Gabby blessed us with two wonderful grandchildren: Michael (Mac) and Melody. Mikey is thoughtful, funny, and passionate about his music. He also coaches North Rockland Youth Hockey and has toured across the U.S. as a drummer. Last, but certainly not least, is Madeline, or Maddie, who is Just finished her nursing degree after working as a surgical tech for three years. Maddie is also an amazing dancer, having trained at the prestigious LaGuardia School of Performing Arts, Studio Jacked, and Alvin Ailey in California. She and her Husband Kyle were just married in Aruba this past September, and he is an amazing man. Our family wouldn’t be complete without Mia, our spoiled 10-year-old Maltese, who still manages to escape the backyard despite all our efforts to keep her in. I’m truly blessed to have such a wonderful family. They are the foundation of my success, both personally and professionally. With four grandchildren—Lennox, Giorgionna, Michael (Mac), and Melody—our family continues to grow, and I couldn't be more grateful for the life we've built.
